Local gov lobby group wants pork

Our recommendations to the Local Government Elections Task Force reject the push for taxpayer handouts to local politicians and call for more transparency and accountability through campaign finance reform, the return of the business vote, no change to the election cycle and the extension of recall legislation to municipal politicians.

It comes as no surprise that a local government lobby group wants handouts, to gag citizens, and to work less. Our recommendations work for greater transparency and accountabilty, not less.
